Ok, here's a tip. If you are averse to dust, don't keep them in open cabinets like that. I have displayed some shoes on the floor and I found that it gets dusty and cleaning is tough with those crevices and shoes to move. I am being practical.:) I would prefer keeping them in enclosed but clear cabinets or you can do the photo on the shoebox thingy. Although I have no idea how dust got to there as the windows were never opened...

Wow thats a lot of shoes in the first one but I like the way they've organised them in heels size - killer heels at the top and flats at the botoom, which is exactly what i've done!
Mine pretty much look like the second pic at the moment but i'm planning on revamping it a bit. I've been collecting shoe boxes from friends and I think i've got enough for my collection. I'm then going to individually decorate each box with all different designs but with keeping in the colour scheme of the bedroom (green/purple/blue) and then stick a pic on the front, so I know which pairs are where. I know - time consuming but hopefully the end result will look good.
I've taken all the pictures of the shoes, which was quite a scary as now I know the exact number of pairs I have...
When I eventually get it done, i'll put the pics up on my blog :o)
