Ok, here's a tip. If you are averse to dust, don't keep them in open cabinets like that. I have displayed some shoes on the floor and I found that it gets dusty and cleaning is tough with those crevices and shoes to move. I am being practical.:) I would prefer keeping them in enclosed but clear cabinets or you can do the photo on the shoebox thingy. Although I have no idea how dust got to there as the windows were never opened...

Saw the above two, and got super inspired now that my hair's longer :) and so I went onto Etsy and got 2 fur hats. I did not want to spend much on hats that I won't be wearing in Singapore ...One faux with a bow and the other sheepskin. I know some people have qualms about wearing vintage, but to me, it's recycling and it's unique, and that's enough. But I think i will skip the lingerie and shoes, unless the latter is brand new old stock.

I am so in love with all these decals and idea from Mimi'lou in Paris, surtout le map de'monde. Muacks. You just gave me a really lovely idea of how I could decorate Dylan's room in the new place. D loves to look at the world map and you be surprise how perceptive kids are, he saw the little airplane symbols at different places and told me about it. So cool. Sometimes I find myself learning from him.You don't get to learn such things in the primary syllabus in Singapore. Till date, I am ignorant about certain countries because I did not get to travel much. I don't want to deprive D of that, so the only way is through books and pictures, and i think that decal is awesome. It may not be much, but it is in lined with what i want.--- a feature wall, and rich colors. *glee*

D wrote this today. Of course he got help from me with some of the words. Super uber cute. He doesn't write things like dad's fat, dad's skinny tall or whatever but funny things like that. hahaha. Just the other day I told him, I wish mummy can make some baby for you to play with. He said, Yes, that'll be great. I told him i will make it with papa, well, i mean , as a matter of fact. Then he got terribly upset and asked " How about me? " Not wanting to get into another whole explanation, I just agreed. The one afternoon while playing with him, he suddenly said, " Mom, later, we shall go to the hospital with papa to make a baby ok?" Hahaha. Kids, that's why I love talking to them.

Ps: I posted this on Face book and then there was this old classmate of mine who commented " Nice, so you married a sleeping monster" . I thought that was rather bitchy. It could be him just being him i reckon , but i figure, sometimes, we need to speak with more tact around. Maybe that's him , cause he was also quite bitchy with some other things on his pictures he posted.

Also just the other day, i got this comment about me grousing about D's teacher not informing the parents about a child who had chickenpox in his class. The comment got rather personal , i quote" I am surprise you are even educated at all...and that i was trying to be cute when using french words, and stick to posting bags and shoes pic" Sigh, i tried with restraint not to correct her english in the first place and then told her that if my blog pains her, just stay away.

Really, I am already in my 30s and I don't need such bitchiness in my life. I thought those were just primary school days. . or maybe bitchiness is the new In? Expectedly, she decided to bitch in the dark, and remain anonymous. ... whatever, typical woman. I am glad I got these few rubbish off my chest here. I have a family to tend to and friends who matter more, so please don't come here to leave your dirt if you want to rub your bad day off me.

More DIY stuff with my garments like the scalloped denim shorts and crystals studded skirt from Dolce and Gabanna-- obviously can't afford the latter, so let's make it. Hee hee. And to get a new pair of casual shoes for the hubs. The slippers on Mr. Porter. com are so in now, before were espadrilles. Ooh, i wish i can lay my hands on some kiddy espadrilles for D. Told him I would not get the toys because there's no need for it, and maybe Ruiying's mom will not like it, ( a whole lot of other excuse included) but I will get the flower, only. Shrugging his shoulders, D asked," Rose, I want rose," Again, i opposed, saying roses may hurt her fingers as they have thorns. Then suddenly with a twinkle in his eye, D squealed' Then daisy! I think daisy is beautiful!" The he scooted off, screaming in delight and singing.

I really think he is into her. He has been chanting her name for gazillion times. Curious as to why he likes her, I asked him, he actually said because Ruiying could speak good English and Chinese.( Yeah i corrected the speak mandarin part). I am really piqued by it. It's not because she's the fairest of the lot or what so ever. hahaha! and this morning when I fetched him to school, I met his ex teacher and broke the news about the marriage to her. Oh yes, according to D, he is " going to the cham and then everyone will watch the marriage" I have no idea what cham is, but anyway, he actually asked," Mama, do you want to watch Rui ring and I get married?" Hahaha! Ok, back to the conversation with the ex teacher, I told her the news and she said, Oh, he changed the girl! It used to be Alexandra, and I told her what he said about Ruiying. She did not look surprise, in fact she said, ah, D liked Alex when she joined the school because she could speak well too, maybe he is into girls that can hold a conversation with him! And we both laughed. Boy, D, you really have grown ! and I am sure glad you are not into bimbos.

Just gotten 2 masks to try out recently and thought I put em all together for a picture. ahaha! Likey face squeaky clean. Even after toner , I dab mask on face on problem areas. .. But i am particular about my masks, I do not like peel off masks, or those wipe off ones, the Decleor one is like that, but i have no choice, because sometimes the skin needs hydration.. The Aesop ones that i absolutely adore are my religion. The clayier it is , the better it is. ;) Sucks up the oil from the pores!

Can read, can write, can speak, but in broken french.. but good news is I have finished all the tenses and it's all revision in the advance class. Well, I have not registered yet, je suis en peu peur, will think about it. Have you tried the latter? If so, tell me please. V used one arm, and those are Loub boots, no joke. I love Louboutins, but I haven't been able to bring myself buy any because those that are gorgeous are like guillotine for my toes and ankles, but those I can balance in look ordinary, ---on the red soles justify the price.. and i am not keen on studs either..

Anyway. On dressing up. I am so glad D is coming 5 which means that there need not be any carrying , and hence I can dress in anything I want, literally. But then again, if you are donning a shift dress, it's mix match gone wrong to go with a big diaper bag. Not that I need one anymore, but I tend to bring lots healthy snacks out for D when we go out. We have cut apples, cornflakes etc.. rather than him eating all the sweets from the store.. Not forgetting it's gotta be a bag that fits the iPad. I am in the process of changing him into a geek but not allowing him to bring the iPad out for dinners. Dinners are for communication with mummy and daddy. If anything, he can bring his storybook. I fell into the bad habit of just passing him my iPad while having dinners outside and felt so bad when I saw what it was turning him into. So.. if you haven't got an iPad for your child yet, it's not a must. Same goes for iPhones. Those are totally unnecessary unless you have a flat biological battery.:) We can treat ourselves a little sometimes i guess?

So coming back to diaper bags, mummy bags or whatever you call them, my favorites are the Celine micro. Not the mini as it's too big and when you have a big bag, you tend to throw more inside and hurt your shoulders. I love the micro size, perfect for my built. Love the Celine cabas well. I wish they do one in Caramel, or have they? Neverfulls are not unique, my mom told me that she saw many carrying them to the wet market....and I have not stepped into the Bal world yet because I don't fancy the design parceque the studs... Oh yes, Chanel. The cocoon bag is the best ever. Soft and comfortable :) Please share with me if you have any other chic light weight bag, would love to explore.

I reckon with decent public housing and education, such element, even if present, is still not rampant. My neck hurts again from carrying too heavy a bag..:( we went to visit Popo , took the train and 2 buses... I can't believe I lugged his abacus homework along with Chinese so that he can do his work there as well. I remember the time when I froze in my track after seeing my tutee's mom packing homework in her birkin so that the child can do some work before dinner. There was this intense fear of becoming like her, it's not wrong , yet it seems odd.... but yes, today, I think I have become like that. Everyday, we are racing for time. Time is such a precious commodity, I cannot tolerate D idling it away when his mind is fresh. He can jolly well go and play all he wants after he finishes his work. 先苦后甜 !!! I've got migraine now. At this stupid hour. I got woken up by D who needed to pee and then I cannot get back to sleep because I am haunted by an email on my Bb. It's D's teacher who informed me that one of his classmates is down with chickenpox. and pourquoi pourquoi pourquoi?

She did not say.
But I know.

Because there's a kid who had it during the NY holidays, and when I went to pick D up , I COULD SEE THE YELLOWISH SCABS ON HIM, healed or not healed, I DONT KNOW. What i do know is that I could see it, but why did the teacher or school not inform me? They could have sent a friendly note saying that one of the kids had the virus,( got certified ok by the doc to return to school) and is back in school now. That would have put my heart at ease. At least now the devil in me will not be screaming, see! see! the original virus is not completely gone in the kid and you let him in the class and now this other kid has it and blah blah blah. and i don't even know if this strain is a deviation from what Singaporean kids are immunized against. AND anyway. chickenpox jab is optional, non?

It's not funny. NOT FUNNY AT ALL when I have not caught the virus before. Imagine catching it from your kid who catches it from school.

I am such a fool. It took me so long to learn about this incredibly talented composer. After watching the poignant My week with Marilyn, My iMac was playing Marilyn's theme over and over again. The music unfolds from minor to major and delivers the doleur in her life aptly. I think one can paint on canvas a beautiful piece while listening to this piece of 1 minute score. I love it. I really do.

Talking about music, D is promoted to the JMC course of Yamaha, and while listening to Salut D'amour in the living room, he excitedly dragged me out from mine telling me to "listen to this touching music". Indeed it was, with the video clip that accompanied it depicting the sadness of an unwanted doll. We both teared. Incredible how music bonds us like that.
